QHC Winterset South, LLC is licensed for Skilled and Intermediate Nursing Care as well as offering rehabilitation and restorative therapy services. Our dedicated staff and wonderful volunteers led the facility to be the winner of the 2012 Governor’s Award for excellence in nursing home care. We pride ourselves in providing a comfortable atmosphere for our residents. We have two sister facilities also located in Winterset, an assisted living center, QHC Madison Square, LLC, and QHC Winterset North, LLC, a full service skilled nursing home.
QHC Winterset South, LLC is located at 715 South 2nd Avenue, Winterset IA 50273. Winterset is a farming community well known for its covered bridges. It is also the home town of George Stout, an art conservation expert and World War II veteran who was one of the first men recruited to be a “Monument Man” tasked to save works of art from the Nazis and was the basis of the character recently depicted by actor George Clooney in the 2014 movie “The Monuments Men”. Our room accommodations include semi private and private deluxe rooms. Special amenities that we offer are weekly massage therapy, cable TV and Wi-Fi, and a host of engaging activities that include movies, games, outings, and in house entertainment from local residents.

Our company was founded in 1977 by Kenneth Webb under the name Quality Health Care Specialists, Corp. In 2011, Jerry and Nancy Voyna became the proud owners after 20+ years of service within the company home office. At that time Jerry and Nancy changed the name of the company to QHC Management, LLC and QHC Facilities, LLC, respectively. QHC Management oversees the operations of QHC Facilities and in total there are 11 facilities; nine skilled nursing homes and two assisted living facilities.
